In 1860, the US fought a civil war to prevent a Nazi nation created inside the USA from destroying our democracy. We made a mistake by NOT doing what Germany did after WW-II. In Germany, statues or museums dedicated to Nazis are BANNED and it’s ILLEGAL to openly spout Nazi rhetoric. Now that the Republicans think they have control, they are coming out and showing themselves as bigots, racists, haters, and killers, all for the purpose of enriching themselves at the expense of American businesses and citizens. On monday evening, August 14th, about 300 local residents of Maumee and the surrounding Toledo area, rallied at St. Paul's Lutheran Church to protest White Supremecy. Photos and videos can be seen on Facebook by searching "Maumee March against White Supremacy". The Neo-Nazi group, N.S.M. National Socialist Movment, has demonstrated 3 times in Toledo, twice in 2005 and once in 2015. The City of Toledo has spent millions of dollars to provide police protection for no more than two dozen of these Neo-Nazis and their allies for all three visits.

I guess that we can equate the left wing nut job who shot Rep Scaliese with all the other left wingers, meaning OWS, BLM and alt-left up to and including Bernie Sanders.

Where does Amendement #I provide for the assembly of armed and hate filled individuals as part of freedom of speech? Their protest was unconstitiutional right from the start and law enforcement needed to respond to that. The words "peaceful assembly" were not by accident.

Trump's blame of the "alt left" just serves to highlight his racism. I had a friend, a resident of Chartlottesville, who attended the protest...she described her group as "Peaceniks."

Your President (he is not my President) is uneducated, unaware of the dynamics of various groups within the US, unaware and ignorant of the dynamics of other cultures & nations, ignorant of the various aspects of life in the US, ignorant of the challenges facing Americans in everyday life. He is controlled by the very rich (the oligarchs) (his real base) who are also ignorant of most aspects of life in the US. Nor do they care. In addition, he is impulsive, irresponsible, corrupt, unintelligent, insensitive, lacking in empathy, self-centered, narcissistic, and always power hungry. He is a bigot, a racist, a liar, a self indulgent child. He misrepresented what he stood for and what he did not stand for in the campaign. He has the ethics of a piss ant. None of this should surprise anyone. Trump has been a hate monger from the onset of his campaign for POTUS. Prior to that he had firmly established himself as a bona fide sociopath in his business dealings. He is totally corrupt, both morally and intellectually, to the extent he can actually claim an intellect. I suspect he has handlers that tower above him on both fronts in that negative sense, and whose names will nevrer appear in the media.

What they have accomplished is to fragment our sorry, simple minded society into a number of camps that are now engaged in open hostility with each other. Divide and conquer. The most insidious of these is the self serving center right business owners that would sell their grandmother if it added a nickel to their bottom line. They are Trump's real base. Below that are the under educated but otherwise honest working class that I equate with the Virginia coal miners. They are just trying to survive and are grasping at straws. Then there is this tiny lunatic "alt right" fringe that, when the chips are down, will be quickly dispatched by either the police state or the far more numerous silent segment of the population that is equally well armed if push comes to shove.

If ever there was an argument to be made on the merits of the Second Amendment, we are now looking it in the eye. If that day comes (I hope it doesn't in my lifetime) you will find Americans, black, white, red, hispanic, whatever, lined up shoulder to shoulder to take this country back from the oligarchs that are our mutual underlying problem. It's happened before. It'll likely happen again.

I have to say yes. Ignoring these acts of violence alows the roaches to come out of the woodwork. A few newsreels of nazis meeting a formidable resistance will send them scampering back into the shadows where they belong.

Wow blaming Trump for this is huge stretch. This was a crazy nut case that drove that car. Not Trump. We should be talking about how to stop all this hate. Not how soon the President makes a statement about it. It is like no cares about the victims. I guess caring doesn't sell advertising.

I live 25 minutes from downtown Charlottesville, VA; I am saddened that the president does not have the consciousness to 1. Take this opportunity to state that this violent act is an act of terrorism 2. Stand up for our country with integrity ; it is clear to me we cannot depend or count on our leaders to help us in so many areas. We must bond together, brothers and sisters that we are in this country, and each be the change we want to see in this country. It must begin with each of us, doing our part. I do not condone hate against hate and do not condone violence. Together...without the help of the elected leaders for they are blind to truth apparently.....we must effect a change in so many areas. I continue to follow the advice of real men such as Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Call it! Constitutional crisis

I've been hearing bits of it on radio Resistance. I CAN NOT believe what tRump is saying!!! He's one of them, no doubt, if there ever was one! He can't differentiate between people defending their country, the same way we stormed Normandy and the invasion on our soil! Did you hear our Nazi president? We need to start impeachment TODAY. Our President just convicted himself of treason!

It really doesn't matter who is president, the policies are the same. Ever since the Bush43 led coup d'etat, certain policies have been pursued and it doesn't matter whether it is a Democrat or a Republican in office, things remain the same. The N. Koreans, during the Bush administration offered to de-escalate but Bush43 scuttled that. Under Obama, the N. Koreans again profferd a stabilizing peace plan which Obama flatly turned down. All of this inflammatory language out of Trump is at the behest of the military-industrial complex that has been, and continues to poke sticks into the eye of any other nation available to start another war. And the real reason for war with N. Korea is (1) an excuse to ramp up the military and siphon off even more money from us taxpayers, and (2) N. Korea is a mountain of untapped minerals and precious metals that is worth gah-jillions to the industrialists. However, these idiots somehow forget that nuclear bombs have radio-active fall-out that traels the world on the winds. If they had two live brain cells between the lot of them, they'd have a real close look at the devastation that took place in Japan after we bombed them, and realize that there are NO WINNERS with this type of aggression. I'll say it again: The real problem is We, the People, who are sitting back and accommodating all of this insanity. Too many people are on the corporate payroll; to include over half of the people who work in government jobs who are actually subcontract workers provided by the private sector, and not true public sector worker for the government at all. So, when we hear this argument about government being too big, it's a Red Neck, Red Herring, false, Red Flag, LIE.

Why haven't the national news publications or television stations brought up the fact that DT endorsed LePenn in the French Presidential Election? Here is another big indicator of the Presidents' alt right beliefs!
