2. It is not only Iheart going down, its all radio in general that is losing it's listenership and has been for years. The word of the day is "podcasts". Too many cheap people hate commercials and don't bother to support stations and shows that have them. Nothing new here to see. You are currently on a forum that is in the same predictiment and podcasts will not save the little guy with a tiny following.

That was a great analogy Thom...I have another one. Picture Trump as a five year old at his own birthday party with Obama being one of the other kids invited to the party. Obama being by far the most intelligent one there comments that Donny's zipper is down, it really is, but all of the other kids laugh at Trump. Trump in turn destroys the birthday cake in retaliation. This type of event is usually a lesson in lack of self control at that age, and normal people learn from it. What we now have is the adult version of that scenario...he'll do anything to destroy Obama's legacy, even if it means all the rest of us will suffer.
They will bomb/invade Iran! I've long thought this will be our undoing. They're crazy enough and Iran is no pushover. In my opinion, Israel needs to rethink all of this too. I agree, global conflict could be the result.

I am struggling to figure out the leftie/socialist position on Russia.

Did the Russians hate Hillary Clinton more than the American public?

As a pretty staunch conservative, I would have voted for Connor Lamb. A strong pro second amendment Marine who ran on old style republican values and openly rejected the Pelosi style politics. If there is any takeaway here it is "progressives" have to change their wild everything is "free shit" program and concentrate on what working class Americans want in a candidate and they will do well in elections.
It's not the traditional democrats that f'd up the democrat party, it's the leftie/socialist wild assed programs that cost them over a 1000 elections losses in the last few years.

Off topic: Now and then I hear Thom downplay Russiagate. I understand his feelings and actually agree with him about the danger of hype and distraction from bigger problems facing us.
There is another side to this that is extremely dangerous and that most are unaware of. I'll do my best to explain..... First of all, we still don't know how much the Republican Party was involved with the Russians in this. Even if the collusion was minimal and didn't impact the election to a great extent, the real danger is in getting away with it. Doesn't the reaction from the party that benefited from this foreign intervention horrify you? Look what the Koch GOP house investigation just came out with. In addition the polls show that Republican voters care very little about what Putin/Russians did.
If they get away with it this time, it will only get worse, and the Republicans will walk away blameless every election despite how obvious the meddling is. Hey it wasn't us...it was those damn Russians. We allowed it this time with Trump illegit as hell based on all kinds of election engineering, and now look where we're headed.
Putin hates democracy and denies it to his own people much like Trump and the Kochs will here if they can get away with it. I love the Russian people but hate the way they're being treated by Putin's regime.
