    Thanks changeX!

You were direct and to the point. I was tempted to respond to mamó, but you said it perfectly.

Can't add a thing except to say that Medicare for all is the only endgame, like you said -- just common sense in the modern world, and commonplace most everywhere except in the good 'ol USA.

When every other greed-based, private/public hybrid, American system finally fails, as is happening now, most people will come to their senses, even the slow ones, and simply expand the easiest, cheapest, most effective, and most successful healthcare program, which Democrats not Republicans, ever devised to cover every citizen, and everyone pays according to their ability. Problem solved!

Even if the hopelessly stubborn, right-wing partisans, and willfully ignorant dummies never face reality, they will soon die off anyway, and their children will figure it out.

No #24, try stating the facts. The Republicans attempted to repeal and replace Romneycare passed into law under President Obama. Even though it is a republican plan, the republican party has to get rid of it because they A) want a tax break for those who earn more than a quarter of a million dollars in capital gains only, and B) they detest Obama having legacy to such an admired program. After seven years of trying to repeal and replace it under President Obama's term perhaps you and your party should get a life and move into the 21st century. The health control issue is far from dead, we will not move away from it, and we will push for single payer Medicare for all.

It was your party who never seems to be able to moveon. At least the Dems didn't need to have a caucus room strategy meeting (thank you Newt) where they conspired to to undermine the policies of the POTUS sparing no expense, not every the lives of dying citizens, children and adults , needing healthcare treatment, essentially sabotaging everything to fail where Obama would not succeed further. According to Newt that is the duty of the opposing political party.

Way to go Mayor Philip Stoddard, who is the mayor of the fifth city in the country to pass an ordinance taking effect September 2017. It requires rooftop solar panels for all new homes built in the city.

It sounds like he's confusing health insurance with life insurance.

  • Trump Doesn't Understand What Healthcare Is   7 years 30 weeks ago

Donald J Trump knows what he is doing. People like him hated the New Deal, hate the "White Man's Burden" and believe it is their right and destiny to dictate terms to the majority, especially who lives and who dies. Why do you think the government purposely publishes a "food pyramid" that causes diabetes, heart disease and cancer? Why do you think the government prosecutes doctors who don't follow "approved" drug prescription protocols for these diseases? Why do you think the fascists want to change the climate? Why do you think the government puts fluoride in the drinking water?

I'll tell you, Thom. The reason is simple. It's to keep us sickley, dosile and stupid while the top of the food pyramid makes its riches while depopulating the Earth.

I have not had health care since the 1980's and I believe everyone is better off not going to the doctor and avoiding hospitals like the plague! I also believe that government should be for the people, not for the top of the food pyramid!

  • Trump Doesn't Understand What Healthcare Is   7 years 30 weeks ago

It's more like, he doesn't care what healthcare is. All he knows is, if Obama was for it, he's against it. His whole presidency, besides pandering to the Russians and self enrichment, is about getting back at Obama for humiliating him at the Press Club Dinner several years back. He really doesn't get any deeper than that.

36% of population supports his Presidence and its more likely that you or I turn around and support his agenda that one of those racist retardeds look back on themselves.

  • Trump Doesn't Understand What Healthcare Is   7 years 30 weeks ago

I read an article several months ago that said the 'powers that be' were shocked at Trump's behavior and so the people around him (the ones the Deep State and Goldman Sach's picked for him,) were editing and sensoring what information he is being given. How can anyone make sound decisions based on biased, partial, and contorted information? I think The Donald is being heavily "managed", something along the lines of "don't worry about running the government, just go shopping." They had a figurehead in George W., with Cheney in close supervision, and they are attempting that with DJT and his advosors. This can go one of two ways: (1) they continue managing him and he accepts that, or (2) by virtue of just being in office he wakes up to the fact that being a statesman is different from being the head of a corporation, and starts making decisions on his own that won't be popular with his handlers but will make the masses happy. We'll see. In any event, he has been like a wrecking ball through the front door of the WH, and the sleeping American culture. People are beginning to get the idea that democracy is not a spectator sport and that it requires constant vigilance to hang onto it, but I still know too many people who insist on keeping their heads in the sand expecting things to be okay (more of that 'Free Market will right itself on its own' rubbish.) Who know what The Donald will do? He's very unpredictable. He may turn around and decide to give us Single Payer on a whim or just to show someone he's the boss and can do whatever he likes. Or he may save it, and use it to get re-elected in another three plus years. It's a coin-toss at this stage.

I've had friends who would speak that incoherently and illogically...when completely stoned!

I wonder what they're really serving in the White House.

  • Trump Doesn't Understand What Healthcare Is   7 years 30 weeks ago

Once again Trump demonstrates that he has no clue of what he is talking about.

The man is a conceited goddamn fool and ignoramus, who is too dumb to be president!

Is it me, or are both statements goobledygook? Honestly, I don't understand what he's struggling to say. That aside, he's offered no evidence that he knows what an insurance pool is. Nor has Senator Rafael "Ted" Cruz. Making them a perfect team to design our nation's health care system, right?

  • Trump Doesn't Understand What Healthcare Is   7 years 30 weeks ago

He may of never had insurance. When you are that wealthy what is a doctor bill. I would seriously consider not buying insurance. Put the money that you would in an HSA. Fly to Panama or country of choice for affordable medical and dental care. Especially if you are young.

  • Do Republicans Fundamentally Not Understand the Point of Healthcare?   7 years 30 weeks ago

Someone please pick this up and run with it...

US Taxpayers are, in essence, paying for this (via subsidizing miltiary spending). Meahwhile children in the US go without health care. Trump should be shown this as well: needs to be asked my Israel's children come before American children.

    Emphasis added.

    From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Healthcare_in_Israel

Health care in Israel is universal and participation in a medical insurance plan is compulsory. All Israeli citizens are entitled to basic health care as a fundamental right. The Israeli healthcare system is based on the National Health Insurance Law of 1995, which mandates all citizens resident in the country to join one of four official health insurance organizations, known as Kupot Holim (קופת חולים - "Sick Funds") which are run as not-for-profit organizations and are prohibited by law from denying any Israeli citizen membership. Israelis can increase their medical coverage and improve their options by purchasing private health insurance.[1] In a survey of 48 countries in 2013, Israel's health system was ranked fourth in the world in terms of efficiency, and in 2014 it ranked seventh out of 51.[2] In 2015, Israel was ranked sixth-healthiest country in the world by Bloomberg rankings[3] and ranked eighth in terms of life expectancy.

5 to 4 the Supreme Court will allow it.

    We can track them now!

The apparent willingness of most of our Republicans Senators, Donald Trump, and Mike Pence to literally KILL over half a million US citizens in order to please their corporate sponsors is SHOCKING! This is a MASSIVE CRIMINAL OFFENSE (conspiracy to commit mass murder, negligent homicide, manslaughter, etc.) Unlike the massively deadly consequences of the highly dishonest Republican squelching of Hillary Clinton’s healthcare plan in the 1990s, we NOW have various means to actually track how many people they are killing as a direct result of such morally depraved conduct!

Do they REALLY think the US Supreme Court will sit back and allow Donald Trump and most of our Republicans in Congress to literally KILL over half a million US citizens in order to please their corporate sponsors?

Feel free to publish this or to use these points in your own articles

" I certainly don't waste my time on conservative sites where the information is all bullshit and where readers are impervious to facts. What's the point of that???" Stopgap

It's because you are incapable of excepting the truth. You visit like minded sites such as this just to reinfore your already preconceived beliefs. Mutual masterbation, if you will.

It is obvious with replies such as yours and deepspace (between the ears) that facts that do not align with your closed minds really set you off, along with deepspace. Deepspace writes a dissertation and still offers zero proof of any wrong-doing by Pres Trump or his campaign, or Republicans for that matter. It's okay though. I enjoy rattlling cages.

    Willie W,

Haha, you got it! Suuure they care about us ...just not very much.

    Let us pray,

As long as the smelly peasants are slaving away in the fields for low wages, providing the fodder and the taxes to make the rich richer, they are tolerated (barely); that is just their lot in life as ordained by GOD the FATHER (not mother). Once they are too sick, old, and useless to contribute, well then, they become the "takers" -- let nature take its course.

See, GOD has blessed the wealthy for their righteousness and "good genes," and cursed the wretched -- GOD damned the poor! Far be it for HIS holy vessel the Orange King to interfere with the will of GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY.

So when the poor heathens become a burden on the precious resources of the "givers," they, like all beasts of the land, must simply die and fertilize the soil for the good of all. It is the way of life and death that GOD in HEAVEN has chosen for his earthly flock. No worky no eaty -- the free market in action, baby.

    AMEN BROTHERS (and sisters).

Now pass over that goddamn bucket of fried chicken!
