by John Gray
Joe gets up at 6:00am to prepare his morning coffee. He fills his pot full of good clean drinking water because some liberal fought for minimum water quality standards. He takes his daily medication with his first swallow of coffee. His medications are safe to take because some liberal fought to insure their safety and work as advertised.
All but $10.00 of his medications are paid for by his employers medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance, now Joe gets it too. He prepares his morning breakfast, bacon and eggs this day. Joe’s bacon is safe to eat because some liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry.

Transcript: Governor Don Siegelman, 29 April 2008
Thom Hartmann interviewed Governor Don Siegelman, 29 April 2008. Will this finally get Karl Rove frogmarched out of the White House (or out of Texas) in chains?
On the Program - April 29 2008
Hour One - Who arranged for for Rev Wright's appearance at the Press Club? Photo from the National Press Club's website and outed in a story by Errol Louis in today's NY Daily News, captioned: "Rev. Wright gets the inside story from Rev. Barbara A. Reynolds, the Speakers Committee member who organized the Wright breakfast. (Photo by John Metelsky)" According to Louis' article, Reynolds' website said that: "'My vote for Hillary in the Maryland primary was my way of saying thank you' to Clinton and her husband for the successes of Bill Clinton's presidency."
Hour Two - Guest: Governor Don Siegelman www.donsiegelman.org Topic: Will this finally get Karl Rove frogmarched out of the White House (or out of Texas) in chains?
Hour Three - Why Obama should agree to a "Lincoln-Douglas" type debate.
Barack Obama has been challenged by Hillary Clinton to a "Lincoln-Douglas" style debate. That particular debate had very specific rules - each side had an hour to speak, followed by an hour and a half rebuttal, followed by a half-hour closing speech. The rules of the debate would hugely favor an orator like Obama, and he'd be brilliant to take up Clinton on her challenge.
His doing this now will break the news cycle out of Rev. Wright - and will refocus this election on his topics.
