Two items:

1) Here is another guess (only a guess), but one must consider all possibilities, as to what's going on with Melania's jacket. If, as you have documented, that the slogan has its roots in fascism, is it only a coincidence, that Melania wore it to visit the children her husband has kidnapped for political ransom and placed into cages, perhaps never to see their parents again?

Conspiracy theories are most often wrong, partially because many rely on complete government competence. However, as you know, Trump has cozied up to Steve Miller and Steve Bannon, and they, along with CoS General Kelly, all harbor nativist views or use them for political advantage. Melania Trump is the biggest mystery in this presidency. How did they meet? Who set them up? Are there any relationships here to his many Russian connections over a few decades. But why, of all jackets did she choose one with a message steeped in fascist origins? If she was mocking Trump, then it was in very poor taste, considering the circumstances. Was she asked to wear the jacket, and was she an unwitting participant? Was it part of a Miller, Bannon poke at their political enemies and an embrace of those who know? It's a small group and they can sometimes be quite coniving. As you know, about one month before the Trump policy order to steal the children from their asylum seeking parents, Trump and his minions cut funding for legal defense of the parents and children. It was well planned in that respect. And as you also know, the Republican party has its Grover Norquist Wednesday meetings and its talking points very well coordinated. One can't rule out, this jacket as being a well-coordinated gimmick by this despicably destructive and manipulative group.

2) Also, it is destructive to keep repeating Trump's claim of fake news. He has co-opted the common good crowd which correctly pointed out Fox propaganda. Much of what Trump says is either a lie or projection --- things like "there was no collusion," just like Nixon's "I am not a crook," actually work against him to keep collusion in center stage. But his repetition of the phrase "fake news," is troublesome because it makes everything relative. When quoting Trump about his claim of fake news, progressives should always point out that Trump is projecting his own intentions, just as when he talked about "ly'n Ted Cruise." Reporters should always say that Trump is projecting his opinion about fake news, because that is exactly what he is doing. He offers no proof. Proof should be demanded --- otherwise it is purely projection.

There extremely rich people since the beginning of time and there dependably will be on the grounds that that is the means by which the private enterprise framework is based.
