But thanks to Republicans in Congress it's still stuck at $7.25 an hour. Even in states like California - where the minimum wage is $9.00 an hour - workers are struggling to get by. Which is why on Tuesday - home care workers in San Mateo - California took action to demand a $15 minimum wage.
