The organization - Sea Standing Institute - is behind a project that will construct Libertarian communities on oil rig-like platforms in the middle of the ocean - free from law-of-the-sea treaties. PayPal founder Peter Thiel has dropped more than a million dollars into the project to build these Libertarian "utopias" in international waters. The organization described the floating libertarian settlements as, "...a kind of floating petri dish for implementing policies that libertarians, stymied by indifference at the voting booths, have been unable to advance: no welfare, looser building codes, no minimum wage, and few restrictions on weapons." The first full-time settlements are set to begin in eight years. Let's see - no building codes, make them with cheap labor, floating in the ocean - Can anyone say BP oil spill? Here's how: There's a big difference between public space and private space. If you're standing in a public space - a public school or library, a park, on a streetcorner, for example - your right to be there is protected by the First Amendment's provision protecting the right to assembly, and your right to speak your mind is protected by the First Amendment's right of Free Speech.

And that's the business of locking up immigrants. Not because there's more illegal immigration in America today - there's actually less - but because private prison lobbyists - with the help of paid-off lawmakers who write strict immigration laws like Arizona's SB1070 - are making sure more and more illegal - and sometimes legal - immigrants are rounded up and thrown in for-profit detention facilities around the country. Each new immigrant captured translates into over $70000 a year for the private detention facility - so it's a pretty lucrative industry. As long as profiteers are in control our prison system - and buying off our lawmakers - then a compassionate and common sense approach to illegal immigration - and our legal system in general - will forever remain elusive.

That's right - Warren Buffett - one of the wealthiest to ever set up shop in America - is now a Socialist according to Fox so-called News. So how can that be?
