Occupy Wall Street movement is sweeping the nation with demonstrations underway now in Boston, Chicago, Memphis, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, and Washington, DC - as well as solidarity demonstrations in other parts of the world like Canada, Europe, and Japan.

Leo Gerard, International President-United Steelworkers, joins Thom Hartmann. Yesterday - the New York Transport Workers Union - which last week pledged support for the Occupy Wall Street movement - went to court to block New York City and the NYPD from forcing bus drivers to transport arrested Wall Street protestors. After police rounded up and arrested 700 peaceful demonstrators on the Brooklyn Bridge over the weekend - the NYPD ordered unionized bus drivers to haul off the demonstrators. Now - the Transport Workers Union is going to court to make sure that doesn't happen again. This week - other unions are expected to join the Occupy Wall Street movement - swelling the number of demonstrators in Manhattan's Zuccotti Park to its highest numbers yet. So it looks like - with the support of major labor unions - the Occupy Wall Street movement has some teeth. Thom also talks to Leo Gerard about worker cooperatives and - have we reached a tipping point of capitalism?

Thom examines the growing "Occupy Wall Street" protests across the nation and the momentum it's gaining with various influential labor unions. Later in the show, he highlights how the right wing think tank, The Heritage Foundation has flip flopped on the issue of "ObamaCare".

Today marks the start of the Supreme Court's new session - and on the dockett this year are over 50 cases that could have sweeping effects on life in America. From now til' June of next year - the high court is expected to rule on issues concerning police tracking suspects' vehicles with secret GPS devices - affirmative action - far-right immigration laws - to even nudity on television. Of course - the biggest showdown - what some are calling the elephant in the room this session - will be a ruling expected next year on the constitutionality of President Obama's Affordable Care Act. Put all this in front of a backdrop of a 2012 election season - then this could be one of the most significant Supreme Court sessions in the history of this nation. So will our nation's highest court respect precedent - or turn to activism?

According to Bloomberg - Koch Industries is doing business with Iran - a state sponsor of terrorism - will this revelation hurt the Koch brand - will it make their contributions toxic? If Iran is funding attacks on US troops in Iraq or Afghanistan - and the Kochs are making money of the Iranian government - isn't there a glaring unpatriotic connection - if not treasonous - connection?
