The Good, The Bad and The Very Very Sesquipedaliously Ugly!

The Good! *Germany* Last month - solar power systems in Germany produced 10 percent of total electricity consumption in the country. And - on May 25th and 26th - Germany met one-third of it's peak energy demand with solar power alone. Are Shoot First laws a license for white people to kill black people?

According to a new study from Texas A&M University - the ALEC and Wal-Mart backed "stand your ground, shoot first" laws across the country do not deter crime like proponents say they do - but in fact cause more of it. The study's authors argue that "stand your ground, shoot first" laws increase the chances of murder or manslaughter "by lowering the expected costs associated with using lethal force." The release of the Texas A&M study comes just days after the US Commission on Civil Rights announced that it would be taking a closer look at "stand your ground, shoot first" laws - after numerous studies have shown that there's a racial bias inherent in them. For example - an FBI study found that, "34% of cases involving a white shooter killing a black person were deemed as a justifiable homicide. Meanwhile, in similar situations, when the shooter was black and the victim was white, the homicide was ruled justifiable only 3.3% of the time." Of course - the Commission's investigation is too little too late for the family of Trayvon Martin - the most notable victim of the violence promoted by Florida's "stand your ground" law. However - in Florida and the 24 other states with some type of "stand your ground, shoot first" law - there have been dozens of other murders committed that have gone unreported by the mainstream media. Joining me now to talk more about America's "stand your ground, shoot first" laws and the people that have died because of them is Suevon Lee - Reporter ...

Gov Rick Scott...the new George Wallace?

And if enough Democratic voters are kicked off the rolls - then Mitt Romney will win in November - and Governor Scott will be re-elected a few years after. While the lawsuits play out in court - what can Floridians do now to protect their right to vote?

How Police are Conspiring to Give you more Tickets

You may have notices in your own home city - or in nearby cities - the proliferation of traffic cameras to catch speeders and people who run red lights. Now these cameras SHOULD be used to promote safety and to curb reckless driving. But instead - they're being used to issue more traffic tickets and to plug local budget holes. And while that means occasionally hefty speeding fines for you and me - it also means a lot of money for the for-profit traffic camera corporations - which cities are reaching out to for new installations. And just like any other industry - the for-profit traffic camera industry is employing an army of lobbyists to make sure more and more cities get on board with this new strategy to raise revenue in cash-strapped municipalities. Here to break it all down for us is Lee Fang - investigative reports with United Republic's Republic Report.

Republicans have Plotted Treason Now

What do you call it when a small group of Republicans gather to intentionally sabatoge an entire nation, just so their party can win political power off the pain of working Americans?
