Trump is a sh*thole dictator wannabe, leading a sh*thole party of corporate fascists, undermining the greatness of America every day in every way. He and his cohorts in Congress have formalized a policy of cruelty designed to discourage any immigration at all, legal or otherwise, from those "dirty sh*thole countries" south of the border. In fact, Trump's ineffective, medieval wall is nothing but a gigantic monument to bigotry and racism -- a physical manifestation of government-sanctioned white nationalism.

Contrary to popular Republican dogma (i.e., gross falsehoods), Democrats are not in favor of "open borders" and never have been. But our legal immigration system is so hopelessly dysfunctional -- thanks to Republican intransigence -- that genuine immigrants seeking a better life and actual refugees seeking asylum are either turned away at the border after presenting themselves to authorities or thrown into "concentration camps." (Call them what they are.) Driven underground, God's children and their families are broken apart, called "illegals," and caged like animals in dystopian human zoos.

Homo sapien selfishness is destroying the planet; to survive, we need to evolve.

In honor of John Lennon, imagine a world where we only take what we need, where we preserve and replenish, where we live in harmony with nature and all other human beings -- a world without economic predators feasting on our corpses.

Thom, I am a fan but you have it wrong on mental illness and Trump. I am a clinical social worker.

These are your problems:
1. No qualified practitioner would diagnose someone based on their media presentation (he may still be ill) This makes diagnosis a parlor game.
2. You are doing a disservice to people suffering from mental illness by comparing them to Trump. People with mental illness are often competent at their jobs and are loving family members.
3. Trump’s malicious words and actions are the root of the problem, not his mental health.

Please spare those suffering from emotional problems. Avoid demonizing mental illness by portraying it as evil or dangerous.
