President Biden said he is not a fan of adding justices, but he knows things are out of whack. Yea, you could say that after McConnell's rip-off. Biden seems determined to gather constitutional scholars to study the court overall. Good idea. I would like to hear their ideas of what Congress could pursue.
Better fortify the Supreme Court building if they change anything. It is from 1932 and as beautiful as the Capitol. The radical right will loose their shit if more justices are added. I hope if they go there for another "peaceful demonstration" they read the inscription on the way in. Equal Justice Under Law. Let's hope any marauders will understand they could get a taste of what under law means. And perhaps they also now realize some family members, colleagues, and their ex's might love America more than they love them. To me, that factor has a ring of justice to it all by itself.

If you go to any place on the planet, you will find a certain percentage of the population that has a default setting that leans conservative. Their brain is wired not to change things. They think in black and white, they simply don't do nuance, and they make quick decisions. This rigid mindset is possibly because the "judgement' part of their brain is not communicating very well with their "fight or flight" part. So to the point of today's column, I question how much good can be done by trying to convince this part of society. Still, the truth must be told about what is or isn't necessary to make our voting system equal. It is back to the drawing board on election laws and their enforcement.
Have you ever had an onry kid hang onto your leg whining and crying while you tried to walk across the room. That's some Republicans right now. We will have to drag them fussing and trying to impede our movement into the FUTURE. They will settle down and grow along with us. We can expect to "get to" a percentage of that 68% of Republicans.
The others, what to do what to do. How much time, money and effort should we expend on them. The FBI knows damn well about percentages. They have a good idea about who could be violent. Isn't it remarkable they are profiling our troops and policing organizations? That is another harsh situation created by the Big Lie. I just think a good portion of the 68% will default to their setting, and truth won't factor into that. It sure as hell didn't matter the last 4 years.
I find this little story about a Preacher who was upset about his Church leaving his Truth, he said that most folks won't cross the street to hear the Truth, but would walk a mile to hear a Lie! We are living in some scarey Times 4 sure!
This isn't rocket science. Grab a clue Dems, and channel FDR in creating good jobs for the peons, and things will change. Everything depends on creating an evironment that enables the advancement of the working class. And for god sakes, when the morons mention Socialism, say no, we believe in a MIXED economy, you know, the system most of the 1st world uses.

Bernie Sanders will be the new sheriff in town as the chairman of the powerful Senate Budget Committee. And he promises to use it aggressively to further his "evil socialist" agenda in the best tradition of Franklin D. Roosevelt. That's sure to make Republicans' heads explode and perhaps keep Biden focused on what truly matters to most Americans and their families -- just in case he might be tempted to shoot Santa Clause by the screeching wingers and hypocrites.
