I have a well stocked medical kit as well, I wasn't really getting it together as a prep thing as much as being so far from town and the time it would take for help to arrive. Just having a compression bandage could save a life. Good on you, training people use the equipment!. We never have enough tools for emergencies.
Its really sad that the dems want to destroy their own culture, I have no clue what they think that accomplishes? They are great at tearing things down...what do they build??
Can they show one city that is better off, a nicer place to live after they have been in control for a few years? I don't think so.

Good morning HotCoffee, Gone all day yesterday teaching kids and ladies to safely handle and shoot firearms. Lots of converts and those people are understanding the fact they are their own first responder. We also include basic first aid, what to do until medical held arrives, and proper tourniquet application all of which wolud have saved many lives during the Boston bombing for example. I am odd because all of our vehicles carry a Resqme Seatbelt Cutter and Window Glass Breaker, RATS tourniquet, and fire extinguisher. Never needed any of them, hope I never do, but they are available if needed.
The beauty of the day and a perfect example of where those malcontent leftie/socialists, so overwrought with "white guilt", are trying to drag this society into their own gloomy little being. I cannot imagine what it is like sitting around their dinner table flipping from CNN to MSNBC every other second, then rushing to the twitter machine to confirm what some idiot bobblehead had just spouted.

“They have categorically omitted and not complied with their legal obligations,” Gastelum said Thursday at a news conference, according to the Arizona Republic. “So we’re now asking them and international humanitarian aid groups to bring in and carry out humanitarian assistance.”
The Tijuana municipal government says it is spending about $27,000 per day to house and provide care to the caravan migrants in the city. Gastelum, who has drawn criticism for his tough rhetoric about the caravan, warned that he would not authorize more spending as additional migrants arrive.
“I will not compromise public services,” Gastelum said. “I will not spend Tijuanans’ money, I will not bring Tijuana into debt now, in the same way we haven’t done so these past two years.
Tijuana, a sprawling border city of about 1.6 million, has long been a waypoint for migrants of all stripes seeking to cross the southwest border. But it has never had to accommodate the sudden arrival of so many homeless Central Americans, who are now waiting indefinitely to apply for asylum at the U.S. ports of entry. Heavy rains in northern California are helping firefighters contain what has now become the deadliest wildfire in the state’s history.
Mother Nature is giving firefighters badly needed relief as they continue to battle the Camp Fire, a raging wildfire in the northern region of the state that has killed at least 84 people and has caused billions in damage. An inch and a half of rain came down Wednesday, a level of water that experts say was the perfect amount — not too little, but not too much.
“We needed it to come in and rain, and rain not too heavy,” National Weather Service meteorologist Bill Rasch explained, according to CNN.
The Camp Fire is now 95 percent contained, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE). Firefighters will be given extra relief as rain continues to pour down on the region. Two to 4 inches of rain were forecast to hit the upper portion of Camp Fire by Friday morning, and rain is expected to continue through Saturday.
However, while the rain is helping clear smoke and extinguish flames, is it also causing other problems. The combination of burned soil and heavy rain brings the deadly threat of flooding and mudslides. Meteorologists are now closely monitoring the amount of rainfall in the region and warning residents to be careful. “Rainfall that would normally be absorbed will run off extremely quickly after a wildfire, as burned soil can be as water-repellent as pavement,” said the National Weather Service. “If you can look uphill from where you are and see a burnt-out area, you are at risk.”
A flash flood watch remains in effect until Friday morning for nearly 1 million people living in northern California.
