Tinhorn must be fresh out of the swamp (you can smell it). He still can't tell a liar from a truthteller. Probably never will. Life is too short.

Episode #2: Tiny Tin's Tinny News strikes again!

Now there is a compilation of useless information, more commonly known as a pile of crap. So, how's your portfolio doing in Trump's "really, really great economy?" Can you hear me now?

    When will they ever learn?

Your reference is the National Review, yellow journalism at its finest. And David Harsanyi is another extreme pro-spinmeister of right-wing "think" tanks, an infamous partisan hack who usually gets the big stories wrong, typically by 180 degrees.

Instead, try out some objective truth, if you can handle it:

In Colorado we can vote by mail. It has been more than 20 years since I last set foot in a polling station.

  • Red States Vs Blue States - Let the Experiment Begin?   4 years 25 weeks ago

In episode #4, Tin News is employing a logical fallacy sometimes called "part to whole," whereby one assumes that what's true of a part must, therefore, be true of the whole.

So, what's his overall point? Because some news outlet or two got some detail or two wrong, misjudged a source, or fudged a picture (meaningless anecdotal evidence that is relatively minor considering the truly astounding larger picture), then that must mean that all mainstream media is also wrong about the whole story ...ah, doesn't it?

(Your tell is that you have parroted Limbaugh's self-serving, over-generalized, threadbare coinage, "lamestream media." Yawn.)

Hint: To take in the big picture in all of its raw nakedness, one must research multiple credible sources while studiously avoiding the bottom feeders and the liars, like Rush Limbaugh and Tinhip's second source above, Wayne Dupree.

That clown is one of the worst partisan propagandists of our era -- so far to the right that visual graphs almost run out of space trying to express just how extreme this fool is.

Therefore, using tinhorn logic, one could assume that Tinhip must think just like Wayne Dupree since he proudly posted a link to his tripe and, therefore, must be so far to the right that Attila the Hun and Genghis Khan look like "leftie lemmings" to him. (Haha, I like Tiny Tin's alliterations though.)

    You know ...therefore.

That's a great article, Legend! Thanks for the link, a keeper for sure.

David Frum offers a wonderfully written and concise timeline, one that doesn't skimp on the pertinent details, with plenty of references to further reading. Even though I don't agree with much of their politics or many of their past positions, David Frum, George Will, Bill Kristol, and certain other influential conservative writers are contributing valuable insight from their perspective and should be heard, especially by other current and former Republicans who know in their hearts that their party has gone off the rails.

Truth and facts should not be partisan, and the Never Trumpers are leading the way out of the "valley of the shadow of death" for other thoughtful conservatives. The GOP should take heed.

An ER Doctor in my neighborhood works at a South Denver Hospital. She is allocated 1 mask per day. She skips lunch rather than remove it. Seamstress's in the neighborhood are making gowns for her. Why are the numbers in the Trump briefing so different than what the real world is.

You wonder why they are so willing to listen to lies. Trump is over 16000. Fox News lies to them every day and they eat it up. I feel that what they hear is comforting to them and they would rather hear comfort than the truth. This is a good article from a reliable source.

  • Red States Vs Blue States - Let the Experiment Begin?   4 years 25 weeks ago

Trump is a lying, sniveling coward who won't take responsibility for any of his aberrant and disgusting behavior, which has aggravated most of the problems in this country as well as around the world: from denying that human activity is primarily responsible for massive climate destruction (the big one) to unwinding regulations that keep us safe and healthy; from the predations of rapacious monopolists to a further shift of wealth toward the very top at the expense of the middle class and the poor; from 17,000 lies and the destruction of truth and the shared reality of objective evidence to the ridiculous Republican fantasy world of deluded fever dreams that have ensnared nearly half the nation; from insulting and betraying our most trusted allies to praising and encouraging our most intractable enemies and the world's worse tyrants; from the decline of Western democracy to the rise of worldwide fascism.

And he puts kids in cages.

One should fully expect Trump to declare martial law as the pandemic drags on and the economy crumbles, taking that last step to full-blown fascism. Most of us dearly hope that he does not but all of us should prepare for the worst. Trump has a proven track record as a megalomaniacal wannabe dictator in love with himself. That's how he runs his piss-poor business; that's how he runs his piss-poor government. A skunk ain't gonna change its stripe.

Fascism is the biggest threat to democracy, not socialism -- despite how Republicans may negatively interpret such an amorphous word (usually incorrectly). It always has been.

If Trumpists can't handle the truth of America's slide into authoritarianism, detailed by Naomi Wolf, Thom Hartmann, and so many other scholars of history, then they should at least understand what fascism is and how it has evolved. Corporate fascism married to the government will afflict hapless citizens much longer than the coronavirus pandemic and economic depression.

Fuhgeddaboudit, Legend. Thom's irascible trolls will never study anything that's not sanctioned by Trump and Fux News, as is quite clear by their programmed responses above, which is just more unsourced, or badly sourced, nonsense and uninformed opinion and therefore worthless. They plead with readers to study their highly questionable links (oh, the horror...) but obviously do not bother to read or watch anything else that would shed light on their misguided quest for meaning and political relevance in a world collapsing around them.

  • Is Mad King Trump Deciding Which States Will Live and Which States Will Die?   4 years 25 weeks ago

All that I can say is Study this some. This country is going to have the worse statistics out of this virus of any country. The most cases and the most deaths. You are number 1 at something.

  • Is Mad King Trump Deciding Which States Will Live and Which States Will Die?   4 years 25 weeks ago

Consider this...when the President is a jerk...
The bottom line has been that Trump is a jerk. He’s crude, he bloviates, he gets his feelings hurt and he’s a hot head.
Let me tell you what else he is. He is a guy that demands performance. He is a guy that asks lots of questions. The questions he asks aren’t cloaked in fancy phrases, they are “why the hell....” questions.
For decades the health industry has thrown away billions of face masks after one use. Trump asks, “Why the hell are we throwing them away? Why not sterilize them and use them numerous times?” He’s the guy that gets hospital ships readied in one week, when it would have taken a bureaucrat weeks or months to get it done. He’s the guy that gets temporary hospitals built in three days. He’s the guy that gets industries to build ventilators and face masks in a business that’s highly regulated by agencies that move like sleuths.
He’s the guy that asks why we aren’t using drugs that might work on people that are dying; what the hell do we have to lose? In spite of all the naysayers. He’s the guy that shut down travel from China, when the liberals and the media were screaming xenophobia and racist. He’s the guy that ran on securing the border in the face of a screaming press and media. When he shut down borders in the midst of the coronavirus virus they were up in arms over such a draconian move. Then the rest of the world followed suit all over, including the European Union between member countries.
Has he made mistakes, yep. Everyone I know would have. All of these experts wouldn’t have done any better. Trump is working harder than I’ve ever seen a President work. He isn’t hiding in his office, he’s out front every day.
Take for instance, all the shortages of PPE’s and ventilators. I’m unaware of anything that prevented all of these governors from ordering all the PPE and ventilators for emergency purposes over the last two years. And yet, it is Trump’s fault that they didn’t.
He’s balanced his approach and listened to the experts, when his distractors said he wouldn’t and couldn’t. When he offers hope, he’s lying and when he’s straight forward, he should be hopeful. It’s a no win, but he is not deterred by all of that BS coming from the press and the liberals.
I’ll take this kind of leadership over a nice guy that can make eloquent speeches.
    Cowboy logic...

Someday this will all be over. People will remember who made a difference in their survival, and who pointed their fingers and blamed. I see a lot of finger pointing going on here.

Good news! The deaths and the number of new cases of Covid19 in New York have fallen for two days in a row. The number of those recovered from Covid19 has risen two days in a row.

Do you know what is total "bloviating bullsh*t?" Virtually every "thought" that Tin Brain, a shameless troll through and through, has ever shared (like a virus) on Thom's blog! Now, unbelievably, he's even asking Thom to slant his own program by helping to disseminate Republican lies, to air a whole segment from the "alternative facts" universe. Why would Thom do that? Why should he? He's a truthteller, not a purveyor of lies.

It sounds like the disgusting little troll with a furrowed brow "pissed in [his own] Wheaties." Or was it just more ass juice from another Trump asshole? Jaysus, I'd love to play poker with Tinhorn! He sheds his tells like coronaviruses. You could beat him with a pair of deuces. He's asking anyone as dumb as him to waste 14 minutes of life by numbing-out on a pack of Fux News lies, his one and only go-to source, which a Trump troll -- OF COURSE! -- would "think" might impress someone ...anyone? A bad bluff.

Okay, I'll play along. Call it "quarantine entertainment" instead of quality entertainment...

    The horror! The horror!

...Damn, I could only take about two minutes of that soul-draining "bloviating bullsh*t"!

(Haha, Tinhorn's alliteration brings to mind Spiro Agnew's Trumpesque whine about his political opponents: "the nattering nabobs of negativism." Nixon's corrupt vice president wanted voters conveniently to overlook the fact that he actually committed the crimes for which he was accused -- just like Trump does when he continually blames his own behavior on Democrats as if they're operating in a vacuum, making it all up.

See, that's classic projection. Trump himself inhabits a dark void that only contains his strange and rather lonely "perfect" world where everyone believes his lies and ignores his reprehensible conduct in office, serving himself rather than the People as the Constitution demands. It's all those damn DemocRATS! Easily fooled, willfully ignorant trolls like Tinhorn, who argue without the facts on their side, are "the hopeless, hysterical hypochondriacs of history.")

So, right off the bat, some right-wing butthead/snowflake/hypocrite, i.e., any Fux News commentator (Sorry, Tinhorn, a Republican bootlicker is pretty much the opposite of a reliable source. Try again.), slipped into his knee-jerk fake-outrage persona by pointing his bird finger at everyone else for getting the story so horribly wrong. Typically, the Fux News host/Republican propagandist neglected to point out the key element in the whole story: that everybody's daily news cycle at the time was polluted by a full-fledged, calculated disinformation campaign emanating from the White House, ergo from Trump the Crooked Clown, and that this truly fake news was enthusiastically promoted by Fux Fake News during this most pivotal danger point for the whole nation, be it Democratic or Republican.

The greatest of all "war presidents" (hilarious if not so alarming) was formally notified by members of his intelligence agencies on January 3, 2020 -- and repeatedly thereafter! -- to start preparing for a really, really bad worldwide pandemic that would hit America very, very soon, albeit with still, just barely, enough time to prepare. Thus, to act intelligently in this limited timeframe was of the utmost importance. That should have been the window of opportunity for a leader to walk the walk and actually lead.

What did Trump do? Nothing! He rocked on his nuts for 70 crucial days -- ignoring, denying, deflecting, blaming, confusing, politicizing, insulting and intimidating those trying to tell the simple but awful truth. And why did he do effectively nothing? Because he was only worried about his f*cking "numbers" tanking before the election! And, of course, he was shocked by the expected loss of revenue from his hotels and golf courses, not by the expected deaths of his constituents, which he had shamelessly played down.

In other words, as the most powerful person on the planet, he tried to change the perception of reality in a futile attempt to salvage his own selfish prospects. That is the highest crime of abuse of power and is exactly why he was impeached for similarly extorting Ukraine to interfere in our election. Trump is too stupid and compromised from a life of white-collar crime to learn a simple moral lesson, even when it's spelled out so clearly in the Constitution and even after a months-long impeachment process. Ditto for his fascist followers.

Trump and as his merry band of scoundrels and sycophants, who enabled him by acquitting though not exonerating him, will now have the blood of likely more than a quarter-million of our fellow citizens on their vacuous consciences, permanently staining their deranged leader's grubby little hands as he grabs the whole country by the pussy, "...blood coming out of her whatever."

By the way, Tin Dick, as long as you're into gratuitous insults, the racist comment "Chinese virus" does not fly with normal, civilized people. If you insist on bigotted slurs, however, you may dub the U.S. wave of the pandemic more accurately as the "Trump virus."

Just when our people desperately needed a true leader -- not the fake one that you and your suicide cult have unleashed upon the world -- Trump the Liar's empty words and inexcusable lack of any meaningful action at that critical moment have directly led to our present grim reality, where hundreds of thousands will be Knockin' on Heaven's Door because of Trump's ineptitude as a trustee of the People's will as well as a healer in a time of crisis. Instead, they got a bumbling fool with wicked intent, a destroyer of life.

Your impeached fake president will live forevermore among the worst villains on the pages of America's long history of mass death.

If Tinhorn is so concerned about those who are lying to him, then perhaps he should "challenge" himself by also sticking to the simple but awful truth. As John Dowd and Rex Tillerson respectively put it, "Trump is a f*cking liar and a moron." Yet again, his crude immorality and gross stupidity have turned deadly ...this time to all of us!

I do figure. Malaysia with a population of 31.62 million and 3662 case is still very low. 0.01% as a percent of population. With 327 million and 312481 case we at at 0.09% or 9x as many and we are just beginning. You can run the numbers on all of asia and it is low compared to Europe or the USA. The real hot spot in my opinion is Brazil. They are entering winter and have a Trump like President. He has stated that he will do nothing about it. They are a few weeks behind us in the cycle. Have a very large poor population concentrated in 2 cities. If we do not ban flights to/from Brazil it will continue to feed into here.

It is interesting that China says we are nuts to not wear masks in public and suddenly the CDC recommend that we wear masks. I have mentioned my experience from working in Taiwan, that masks work. Taiwan is 24 million, 355 cases, 5 deaths. We should pay attention to what the successful countries do. Another thing that bother me is you do not see Cases as a percentage of population. If you want to compare states California is doing great compared to lesser populated states. 12639 cases and 40 million population = 0.03%. While Louisiana 12496 cases and population 4.66 million = 2.7%. Without this statistic it is really impossible to pick hot spots.

Tin(no facts)hip is clearly completely brainwashed by Fox News. They do not give you the news they give you the opinion that they want you to have on the news. That opinion is the opinion of a billionaire and the millionaires that work for him. Try a daily dose of Mediamatters.org. Or try watching "The Brainwashing of My Dad". Or continue to live in your ignorance.

Thom you may have not heard but Kentucky elected a democrat to the governors office. Andy Beshear You should look him up on fb and watch his 5 PM press conferences. Trump even came on AF1 back in Nov 2019 1 day before the election and it still couln't save Matt Bevin. Even though Trump thought Obama using AF1 for "crooked Hillary" was an "absolute disgrace".

  • Is Mad King Trump Deciding Which States Will Live and Which States Will Die?   4 years 25 weeks ago

Hi Thom - The problem is likely much bigger than this and it's probably way late to ask this question but is there an organized effort to stamp out Trumpism? It looks like the Dem's attempt was stamped out with the wave of a hand so is a committee really going to matter. Is Trump the problem or just a tool? It almost seems 9/11 and the patriott act was the kickoff of a movement followed by the onset of escalated Republican policies to oppress traditional business structure and middle class economic strength in the US. We've been witnessing the widening gap between parties and humoring it as normal party separation for so long that the Republican senate and big money has us by the short ones and we are basically at a point where they can starve us into submission or wield their power as you state above. Can we clarify if this is limited only to the US becasue it could obviously be a larger opportunity for the forces to engolf the entire globe, there are obvious changes of power in play. Maybe it's time we call it what it is.

On the 4/2/2020 show, Hour 1 Thom talked about Nurses and front line workers being fired for wearing masks etc. The Navy relieved the Captain of the aircraft Carrier that has had an out break of Covid-19. It takes a lot of knowledge and training to be the Captain of a nuclear aircraft carrier and that will probably be lost to retirement. Or let's hope that he is not court marshalled. As with most positions in the Trump administration, the Secretary of the Navy that fired the captain is in an acting position. Trump?
