They have successfully destroyed the Post Office. My wife uses it for her business and all is delayed. A package goes through multiple cities in zero organized routing. A package that the post office said was lost was actually delivered and never reported as delivered. She does not get paid until proof of delivery. This has all happened in the last month that deliveries have become completely unreliable. She is now looking at alternative shipping methods.
Trump has broken the law before he was elected and after he took office with no concern. The Republican controlled Senate protects him.

"Law and Order" by the way, our new Fascist party's latest chant, is funny, considering they're the most law ignoring party in the history of this country. Starting with DJT's ordering his lacky's to ignore lawful subpoenas, something if done by rank and file Americans, would land them in jail. And the ignoring of our Constitutions Emoluments clause, to name only two.
To support a known and proven LIAR, IMO, makes one the same. But hey, money can make people believe water isn't really wet.
Time for ALL the rhetoric to end, and for the rebuilding of the U$A to begin. Enabling the underclasses, by commiting to an increase in the minimun wage, and an infastructure upgrade, would be good programs to start with. An infusion of cash, by way of these upgrades would create millions of new jobs, and hopefully empower the poor.
But, of course, neither party has a platform that calls for either.
Just chanting "BLM" won't get it done. Neither will chanting "law and order".

The King in 1763 issued a proclamation prohibiting European settlement west of crest of the Alleghenies. This more than any other factor was what led the land speculators to revolt against the crown.
The state militia were formed to take the place of the British soldiers to continue to force Native Americans off their lands for the profits of white elites, which is a practice that continues to the present day with the Keystone Pipeline passing over tribal lands and the displacement of Indians in New Mexico, Arizona, and Colorado to exploit their lands for uranium, gold, and coal.
Thom, as the election approaches it sounds like you are freaking out more and more every day. Calm down, however it goes, things will be OK.

Did you notice how few in the audience had masks on and how close together they were sitting. It is so predictable. Sturgis is now having a nationwide outbreak. Who could not see that coming. Interesting to see in a few weeks the outbreak of cases in that audience of Fat Cats.
Thom, thanks for the historical perspective. Although, the future is always ahead, taking some time off from the present to contemplate about the past is good advice for the next step. Secondarily, thanks for avoiding using names wherever possible. In my reading this reinforces your argument that the Republican party (independently of specific POTUS, VPOTUS, Senators, MPs) for the last 2-3 generations (approx. 60 years) has been following a path that keeps directing (all of) US further and further away from our basic values of Liberty, Justice for All and the pursuit of Hapiness in a nation united (as much as an extended family of free women and men sharing common values should be). Your approach highlights the need for the republican prty to make a U-turn to go back to its first principles, not that different from the above, and look for another (new) path that maybe leading there. I agree that the republican various "-omics" applied in recent years, even if initially well intended, have failed to deliver. These policies are doomed to disappear, no matter if we collapse as a society (in the next 30-100 years), or not.
Our debate SHOULD be, the huge class war being waged against the working classes, disguised as racism. Not that racism isn't happening, but it's happening within the class war, which is paramount.
Raising Wages for the "under classes" NEEDS to occur for any segment of society to advance.
THAT means Raising the minimum wage and a jobs program are critical.

Tonight, Trump has gone full Third Reich with the background of a million flags, marble columns, and the grandeur of the Whitehouse setting. No doubt this is a Fox News lollaplooza!!…and the shitheads go marching along!!
In the long term, fact may win out over fiction (“advance by crisis”). But in the short term, propaganda, especially in politics, the odds are at least slightly in favor of fiction, i.e. propaganda. The same odds that casinos rely on. The proof of this, is the cycle of destructive fascist and dictatorial governments that regularly rise out of populism until they collapse or implode under their own fatally flawed dogma.
Hard to tell if the “Trump Death Cult”is growing or shrinking, but Democrats will not win the battle with facts alone. To repeat the old saying: “A lie gets halfway around the world, before the truth can get its boots on.” Trying to refute or rebut every Trump lie with facts is a losing proposition.

911 calls going unanswered in major democrat run cities, Devastating delays in fire responses because all fire calls are accompanied by cops and if the cops don't go, neither do the firefighters.
Comments like the Kenosha police made to armed citizens Tuesday night and the Minneapolis police last night are becoming the norm rather than the rarity.
And then there is this Sherriff of Polk County FL.

Thom, clearly what was going on in Kenosha, Minneapolis, Portland, Seattle, Chicago, NYC, and other democrat run cities is exactly what you were pushing for years, that being urban warfare.
What you are seeing is more people taking up arms, be they fake militia's or just home and business owners fed up with the "peaceful protest" bullshit and this ain't going to end well. The soy latte boys and wannabe gangsters are going fo find themselves on the wrong end of the muzzle.

Wisconsin is open-carry, but not for 17 year olds. Illinois there is no open-carry and no firearms permits till you are 21. Both states have no stand-your-ground laws.

Status of the mail system. My wife for years has made purses and other craft items and sold them at art and craft shows and on Etsy (an EBay for arts and crafts). Covid-19 has shutdown the arts and craft shows. Etsy requires free shipping in its pricing. She does not get paid until tracking shows the item as received. She ships USPS as by far the best pricing. Her packages are going all over the place. She has a shipment to California and the package goes to Des Moine, Iowa. Then Nashville. What use to take a few days now is taking 10+. For the first time she has a lost package and is having to make a new craft and new shipment. All of this is cutting into her income from this endeavor. This is all thanks to the Republicans.
