The International Monetary Fund cut its growth forecasts for the world economy – and warned that there is a “alarmingly high” risk of deep economic slowdown. IMF projections now show the global economy growing by a mere 3.3% this year – the slowest growth since 2009.

A Tea Party organization has drawn the attention of a Member of Congress for its efforts to suppress the Democratic vote. The group True the Vote has filed a lawsuit in Ohio to kick thousands of minorities, students, and impoverished residents off the voting rolls – claiming they aren’t properly registered.

New jobs numbers released today show the economy added 114,000 jobs in September. The Department of Labor also said the economy added 86,000 more jobs than previously estimated in July and August.
