Moscow Mitch Set To Kill Lady Liberty
The single most important defining characteristic of an authoritarian dictatorship is that the authoritarian leader uses the power of the state to maintain his own personal power. This is something that "divided government" - three separate branches of government that are coequal - was designed to prevent. With Mitch McConnell promoting Dershowitz's idea that a president can commit any kind of crime he wants so long as it gets him reelected because he "believes his reelection is in the public interest," we are about to see our American democratic republic transformed into an oligarchic semi-dictatorship. This is exactly what the Founders warned us against, and may well be the death-knell of not only our democracy, but of democracy around the world. -Thom

When Did Tyranny Begin in America?
Quote: " Russia, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing. I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press." - Donald J. Trump.
Hour Two: Trump Uses Foreign Powers to Win & Gets Away With It...
Tweet: " I got a message a couple months ago from a Navy Medic who was stationed at the Pentagon and formerly the WH. Suffice it to say many are aware of Trump's drug abuse. His trip to Walter Reed was not the first but third. He also told me percocet was in the mix now. @realDonaldTrump" by NoelCaslerComedy.
Tweet: " Pam Bondi is upset that Hunter Biden made 50k monthly on the board of Burisma as a highly educated law school grad. Pam earns 115k monthly as a lobbyist for Qatar. She has no experience in the region & doesn't speak Arabic. Her degree is from a minor school. Pam is a hypocrite" by Leslie on a Pike.
Why Aren't We Also Talking About the Kushner Crime Family?
Tweet: " All this nepotism talk reminds me of one company that was spared from Trump's heavy tariffs on China... ...Ivanka's clothing brand. Right after a $34 billion round of tariffs in 2018, her company put in another order for 140,000 pairs of shoes from a Chinese factory." by Robert Reich.
Quote: " If we were to hold a minute of silence for every estimated death of a migrant worker due to the constructions of the Qatar World Cup, the first 44 minutes of the matches would be played in silence." - Hans-Christian Gabelson.
Article: " Constitution of the United States" Article 1 section 4 " The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators."
Hour Three: Unbridled Presidential Power Will Come Back To Bite Us... What If Trump Suspends Elections Or Starts Arresting Democratic Legislators?
Tweet: " Speaker Pelosi on the Senate impeachment trial: "The fate of our nation is riding on how this is resolved.â€" by NBC News.
Quote: " We have a situation where, again, the fate of our nation is riding on how this is resolved," Pelosi said. "It isn't about just one person. It's about the precedent that it sets for the future. It's not about whether you like Donald Trump or not. It's not personal, it's not political, it's not partisan. It's about patriotism." - Nancy Pelosi.
Quote: " And then again, when you think of the sacrifice of our Founders, and Thomas Paine said, 'The times have found us,' in the darkest days of revolution, to declare our independence, to fight a war, to win it, to write our founding documents. For Benjamin Franklin to say, when asked about what government we have, we have 'a Republic, if we can keep it.' I often wondered why he said that as if it could ever be in doubt, except this President has placed it in doubt by saying, 'Article II says I can do whatever I want.'" - Nancy Pelosi.
Article: " Federalist No 65" by Alexander Hamilton. " A well-constituted court for the trial of impeachments is an object not more to be desired than difficult to be obtained in a government wholly elective. The subjects of its jurisdiction are those offenses which proceed from the misconduct of public men, or, in other words, from the abuse or violation of some public trust. They are of a nature which may with peculiar propriety be denominated political, as they relate chiefly to injuries done immediately to the society itself. The prosecution of them, for this reason, will seldom fail to agitate the passions of the whole community, and to divide it into parties more or less friendly or inimical to the accused. In many cases it will connect itself with the pre-existing factions, and will enlist all their animosities, partialities, influence, and interest on one side or on the other; and in such cases there will always be the greatest danger that the decision will be regulated more by the comparative strength of parties, than by the real demonstrations of innocence or guilt."
