Oxfam just released a report documenting how over 200 million people have lost their homes in the last decade because of climate change. That's the equivalent of someone losing their home about every two seconds, just because the fossil fuel industry has spent four decades covering up what they knew about how their product was changing our atmosphere.
Last week, the United Nations also released to report suggesting that if we don't start significantly reducing carbon omissions, we will be leading the entire world into a massive catastrophe.
Extinction events typically take tens of thousands of years, and if you are standing in the middle of the early stages of extinction extinction event, it's very difficult to know how it will end. You only know for sure in the rearview mirror, and by that time most of humanity may well be dead.
These companies must be held accountable for their efforts, from funding climate denying think tanks to massive efforts to kill off electric cars and make it difficult for people to solarize their homes.
