The day after the Virginia beach shooting, the largest mass shooting this year, a spokeswoman for the NRA publicly argued that they had no role in the shooting. The fact is, though, the shooter had been buying a lot of guns recently to prepare for this shooting, and the NRA opposed legislation currently going through the Virginia legislature that would've limited gun purchases to one gun a month to prevent just this kind of scenario.

Eventually America figured out that the tobacco industry have been gaslighting them for decades; the American people are figuring out now that the NRA is and has been doing the same. It's time for rational regulations on guns.
