The FoxConn scam is just the latest in a long line of similar scams that companies have run all across the country since the 1980s. Cities and States should compete based on the quality of their infrastructure, which build their wealth and livability over time, instead of how much tax money they can give away, which erodes their wealth and livability over time. Any State in which companies get giant tax breaks for located their operations there should lose their federal highway funds. We need a race to the top instead of a race to the bottom.
