Do Republicans really think attacking the Mayor of London is OK?
Donald Trump has doubled down on his Twitter feud with the Mayor of London - more or less accusing him of bowing down to terrorists.
After a terrorist attack like the one that occurred Saturday night in London, world leaders usually respond by making public declarations of solidarity.
But not Donald Trump.
He's reacted to this weekend's tragedy by getting mad online and picking a fight with the Mayor of London.
It seems like we ask this question every week - but what the hell is wrong with him?
When London Mayor Sadiq Khan told residents of his city "not to be alarmed" after Saturday's terrorist attack, he was referring to the increased police presence they'd see over the coming days and weeks.
That is indisputable - documented fact.
Unless - of course - you're Donald Trump.
In one of his most disgraceful moves yet as president, Trump has accused Khan of telling Londoners not be alarmed about the terrorist attack itself - and is now claiming that all facts to the contrary are part of some big bad media conspiracy to make Khan look good:
"At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is "no reason to be alarmed!""
"Pathetic excuse by London Mayor Sadiq Khan who had to think fast on his "no reason to be alarmed" statement. MSM is working hard to sell it!"
Do Republicans really think this kind of behavior is OK?
Khan is Muslim - that's what Trump is getting at here, isn't he? And if so, how is dog whistle bigotry about public officials a responsible way to handle the very complex issue of terrorism and Islamic extremism?
