As Warren Buffett put it way back in 2006, "There's class warfare, all right, but it's my class, the rich class, that's making war, and we're winning." But the Right's feigned outrage is rendered even more ridiculous thanks to a new report by Brad Friedman over at Mother Jones magazine who obtained an audio tape of a secret meeting of billionaires back in June in the mountains of Colorado. What you're aot to hear is billionaire oil baron Charles Koch - the same guy who funds right-wing think tanks and AstroTurf Tea Party groups - rally HIS soldiers - our nation's oligarchs - behind a "mother of all wars" to be waged against President Obama - who Koch refers to as Saddam Hussein. Again - that was billionaire Charles Koch calling President Obama "Saddam Hussein" - and urging his rich buddies to prepare for the "mother of all wars." Later - Koch goes on to tell his troops to shell out a million bucks toward that war effort - pocket change to most of the oligarchs in the room. What Charles Koch is referring to is the billionaire's war against working people...

Falling behind in the polls - Mitt Romney laid out his plan to create jobs today at an event in Nevada. And like all the other plans put forward by his colleagues on the right - Romney's job creation plan sounds more like a Christmas list for millionaires, billionaires and transnational corporations, and less like an effective way to get Americans back to work. As you might expect - Romney's plan calls for massive tax breaks for US-based corporations. Brian Darling, Human Events joins Thom Hartmann.

Ohio Governor John Kasich made history yesterday - as Ohio became the first state in the history of this country to sell a state-owned prison to a for-profit private corporation. The Lake Erie Correctional Institute opened up in 2000 - and at the end of this year will be officially owned and operated by the Corrections Corporation of America - also known as CCA - which shelled out $72 million bucks to buy the facility from the state - and will now get paid for every single new prisoner they lock up. We learned this week that Wall Street needs to lawyer up - because the Federal Housing Finance Agency is filing suit against more than a dozen of the nation's biggest banks - accusing the banksters of selling junk-mortgage securities to investors - which was the trigger of Bush's 2008 financial crisis. Mortgage lending giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac lost more than $30 billion after the banksters hustled them into buying these piles of mortgage junk - and now the government is coming to collect. But I'm going to ask them to hold off for just a little bit on filing this lawsuit - because it just so happens - I'm holding my own trial against the banksters tonight - as well as a slew of other corporate criminals.
