Richard Greene, E=MC2 and The New Definition of God/Words That Shook the World joins Thom. But what if God and science do mix?

Curtis Ellis, Obamatrade.com/American Jobs Alliance joins Thom. The Transpacific Partnership - or SHAFTA as I like to call it - is only open until this Wednesday - January 13. The TPP is a so-called "free-trade" agreement that has been negotiated behind closed doors with heavy input from giant global corporations to manage trade between 12 countries and the United States. The President is expected to make a strong sales pitch for the agreement during tomorrow's State of the Union address - and he's expected to make the case that this trade agreement isn't just about the United States' economic interest - it's about our national security and balancing China's influence in the Pacific. But the simple fact is - these insane "free trade" agreements - like NAFTA - CAFTA - the WTO and Permanent Normal Trade Relations with China - have never done anything to strengthen America strategically.

Zoë Carpenter, The Nation Magazine joins Thom. We now know that the group is actually free to come and go as they please - and that law enforcement has taken a basically "hands-off" approach to the situation. But over the weekend - a group of at least six republican lawmakers met - one. Oregon state legislator and several other elected officials from the neighboring states of Washington and Idaho - met with the ranchers at the nature preserve. Another lawmaker from the Las Vegas area took part in the meeting via telephone.

Kris Ullman, Conservative Commentator & Activist & Sam Sacks, The District Sentinel & Hughey P. Newsome, The Objective Citizen/Move-On-Up all join Thom. Some in the GOP party - like Maine's tea party governor Paul LePage and presidential frontrunner Donald Trump - apparently missed the memo about moving past blatant racism. And apparently neither the party's base nor the leadership cares one bit about the resurgence of blatant racism in the Republican political discourse. So - how long will the horrible stereotypes of minorities - especially African Americans - continue to be acceptable from the mouths of Republican politicians?
